QUINN THOMAS CHESHIRE COUNTY CRICKET CUP KNOCK OUT 2003

WIDNES' CHANCE FOR REVENGE
Beaten off the last ball by New Brighton in last season's final, Widnes - strengthened by the acquisition of former Lancashire all-rounder Steve Titchard - will get a chance of revenge when they host the holders in the second round of the 2003 Quinn Thomas Cheshire Cup. There has been an entry of 38 clubs, including 29 from the County League. Missing are three-times-recent winners Wallasey who have opted to play in the Lancashire Cup. A new rule will allow clubs to play their games within 14 days of the designated date. The final is on Sunday, September 7th.
