The Care in the Air appeal arrived at Neston Cricket Club on Friday 22 August 2003 - and what a great night it was. Although the weather was a bit damp there was a huge crowd and what a highlight when the helicopter circled low around the ground before landing right next to the crowd. Granada Reports gave the event plenty of coverage and the club looked great. Most important of all there was plenty of money raised. Granada presenter Paul Crone did his best to speak to everyone and despite having just walked 18 miles he still found time to join in with Monica's tennis training session. And just look at this group of lads from Parkgate Primary School who raised over £700 for Care in the Air with a sponsored walk along the wall at Pargate and at Neston market, what a great effort !! - click on images for larger picture
