GENERAL INFORMATION
At junior levels, our under 9, under 11, and under 13 teams have fixtures on Sunday mornings from May to July in the Wirral League, whilst the under 15 and under 17 teams start their competitions later in the summer. We also have under 13 and under 15 fixtures on Sunday mornings in the Cheshire County League - both teams also compete in the Cheshire knockout competitions for their respective age groups from May onwards. We also take part in the Wirral Under 14 Cricket Festival in early August - What a feast of cricket! However, we could not possibly organise any of this without the involvement of parents who play a very significant part in the management of the junior teams and in supporting our coaching sessions in various ways, such as supervising net practice. All such assistance is greatly appreciated by the club. Outdoor nets take place at 6.15pm on Monday evenings for under 11 juniors, and on Wednesday evenings for under 15 and under 13 juniors. Nets continue through the summer months including the school holidays. Our junior cricketers are regularly nominated for trials with Cheshire and many go on to represent their County. For Neston Cricket Club this is just the icing on the cake - we are happy to be able to provide the opportunity for youngsters at all levels of ability to sample the enjoyment of cricket, and perhaps to go on to make a lifetime habit of the sport!
